This afternoon I had a nice short conversation with my adult students. I was scheduled to have a Life Club and I really enjoyed it with Michelle, Lyn, and Peter. I wish I could have them again in next Life Club. We talked many things like personal stuffs and impersonal topics as well. The two girls are leaving for Ausie this March hopefully to pursue their studies. This is the beauty of having a Life Club,,,a teacher could have a relaxation time just have plain chatting and learning with students.

This afternoon is really fanstastic here. I got no class,,,heheh and all I have this afternoon is a training for interviews with the new students. I like the training with my DOS and I have fun in his training. He provided me everything I need to know for conducting interviews with students. I believe I must read more on those books I haven’t taught before. Moreover, I think I have to read the guidelines and try taking the level test one of these days. I am pretty much excited now to conduct interviews with our new students.

This morning class was really great! I had fun with my kids and they were all pretty receptive to all my instructions. Whew! Great performance! We played till we don’t have more time to do the extension activities, The CC called our attention and said it’s already time. I am happy with them coz I see them learning while enjoying the games. Pokemon V2 is their favorite game.

Today we had an hour of brainstorming and workshop with our DOS. We are now busy preparing for our winter course. These days has been pretty busy for all of us here at school. However, we won’t forget to have some good laughs after all our classes on weekends. In every moment we spend with our students, we always have something to learn and laugh at. This, they say, we are always good at – laughing in the midst of trials and crisis.

My stay here is most of the times boring and I would just hang around the nearest netcafe not to mind how time flies like soap bubbles. What am I doing in the netcafe? Of course, net surfing, reply and send some emails to immediate family and friends and other stuffs. Not to mention updating my blog accounts.

Indeed TIME is really fleeting. I can vividly remember the first time I came here. Heheh, all my adventures and everything. It’s one of the neat and dirty packages I was able to pass through. Now, I am almost done with my probationary period and hopefully I could make it through to more than a year to stay here. I am always excited whenever I think of HOME for I am always missing everybody at times I could not help but think of the sweet aroma of the home made dishes and the cozy feeling to sleep in your own room,,,on your own bed and personal space so to say. Well after all, I am just here passing by and I hope I could leave a beautiful footprint after I leave.

Why should a man be uncontented for what he has? Is it not worth to breathe the air and see the earth’s beauty? These are just a few of the most important things man forgets to appreciate. Everyday he wakes up and mumbles, “Ohz,,,another day,,,another penny”. What a lonely feeling to even complain about life and living. Man is always trying all his best in his pursuit to find happiness. But what is happiness by the way? How should man find this thing called happiness? Contentment? How should he be contented with his life? When? In the end of all these, man will then realize when he will experience losing everything he has especially those most important things in his life. However and whatever man has to do in order to find happiness when he is not contented with his life then, man cannot have it in his life.

Last Saturday, 19th of January was the culminating of all my classes here. I felt really nervous before that since it was my first time,,,heheh but twas really fulfilling to have most of the parents in my class. They observed my class for almost an hour and I was so happy when they came to me saying, “We really like the way you handled the class with my child and we like you to be their teacher next term”. Whew! Those were the sweetest words I have heard in my stint here. Whoaaa moments I have here,,,some of the parents can barely speak English so Apple just translated their words for me to understand fully what they actually felt that day. Indeed, I am so happy with it and it is the reason why I am always giving all my best in every class. Even now, I can actually remember how they said it to me. Finally, I went to my room and there was this kid named Anna. She is such a sweet and lovely child who knocked my door and went in just to embrace and say “Thank you Teacher, I hope to meet you soon.” I was nearly teary eyed when I heard her say that for I know she really meant what she said at that moment. After all that was the most wonderful part of my day last week,,,,a sense of fulfillment indeed. A word of thanks is the sweetest word of all for a teacher like me.

Why do man has a never-ending pursuit to find happiness? He enjoys one thing and still have the guts to quit and find another thing which can give him much more delight. Is this what we call as the fruit of cyberage? These days, anyone can just look for a better half over the net while a few centuries ago it took for a man to wait a couple of weeks for a love letter to arrive on his doorpost. Still, there is nothing much to satisfy a man in this age. Everyday I hear a whining man about his life. Why can’t he get enough and be contented? What makes a man contented? Can anybody answer me? How would someone attain contentment and most especially happiness? If a man is not contented then he is not happy in his life. When can a man be happy? In what ways?

Today is my day off and I just spend it with my housemate buying some groceries in the biggest supermarket in town – Daremfa or RT Mart. We just walked since it’s really near to our place. When we were on our way to the cashier there was this strange woman trying to talk to me in Chinese while I was picking up some bread. I really wanted to talk with her but couldn’t since I don’t know how to speak even Mandarin. Chinese people are really good and warmhearted but it’s sometimes the language barrier that makes it difficult for us to communicate here. I’d better learn more lessons in Chinese so I could converse with them.
